Awards to boot from the Geelong Show

An art project and a beautiful poem created by people who attend Participate Central has won them first and second prize at the Geelong Show.
The group got an old boot and put their art and craft talents to the test to win first prize in the art category at the show – and their poem came second.
Participant Zarra DeRosso said the boot took a long time to decorate using different beads and lots of bright colours.
“It was exciting to win an award, it was lots of fun decorating the boot and writing the poem too,” she said.
