Tasks Include:
Participants will learn carpentry competencies on the activity; designing and cutting out wooden art templates for wall display and creative art classes for 2 disability programs; building and painting children's play items for child care centre’s.

Participants will receive hands-on hospitality work experience within a commercial kitchen, preparing raw produce and turning it into cooked items for disadvantaged families within Werribee. RSF training will be delivered during the activity.

Tasks Include:
During this retail project, participants will develop professionally and personally, through quality supervision and training in: housekeeping, cleaning, customer service, rotation of stock, sorting donated goods and merchandising.
The participants will learn retails skills under direct supervision, in a supportive team work environment with maximum opportunity to practice their skills. The key focus of the activity is on building in job seekers a strong work ethic, confidence & self-esteem, improving communication and developing positive social interaction. The participants newly acquired skills will enable them to apply for suitable retail positions with the confidence that they have the qualities and skill level required to competently fill their role. Supervision will be one-on-one and constant and OH&S induction will broaden the job seekers’ perception of risk in the workplace and give them measures to apply in the identified situations. Potential new networking opportunities will be opened up via interaction with staff, management and other participants. Participants will better understand the link between co- operation and achievement within a team environment.
Food For Life
Venue: Westvale Community Centre
Available Days: Monday and Tuesday

Tasks Include: Participants will prepare and cook fresh produce to make healthy snacks for a Brimbank family support service, a primary school and singing group for persons with special needs. Comprehensive OH&S induction and accredited RSF training will be delivered during the project.
